FAQS

WHAT COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS DO YOU HAVE IN PLACE?

We take the threat of Covid-19 very seriously, following current government guidelines to ensure the safety of everyone who enters Desk & Company. Current measures include:

  • Hand sanitisers provided at key points, and regular anti-bacterial deep cleans of the premises.

  • Limited desks in each office, all at a two-metre distance from each other.

  • In the event of lockdown or other measures that prevent people from attending the office, contracts will allow an automatic 'roll-over' period, which freezes them until restrictions are lifted.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY RENT?

Superfast broadband, free tea and coffee, use of our kitchen facilities (with the odd Tunnocks Teacake thrown in), and your own set of keys for everyone who signs up for a full-time desk.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I SIGN UP?

It's very simple. We don't tie you in to long-term contracts, instead we ask you to sign a rolling monthly contract and pay a month's deposit in advance. Rent is payable in advance. You can end your contract at any time by giving two weeks' notice.

HOW DO I FIND YOU?

The office is in a character building above Fika Cafe and Honeykins Vintage shop at 10c Mill Street, in the heart of Oakham. We are open 9-6pm every day - feel free to pop in to have a look around.

WHAT KIND OF PLACE IS IT?

We are a small, friendly community. Most people who come here are small business owners, freelancers and those who now have to work from home for their job, but either miss the company of the office or don't have the correct set-up at home. We are always welcoming - but we also like to get our heads down and get to work. After all, we are all busy building our own businesses and empires!

WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHEN YOU SAY YOU ARE DOG-FRIENDLY?

It means that there will sometimes be an office dog present (Georgie the cocker spaniel), and that co-workers are welcome to bring their well-behaved dogs to work by arrangement. Please contact us if you are thinking about signing up and have any concerns about this.
